Well, kids Challenge 1 is officially over! And it went over really well, I think. Despite my hectic schedule!

I think I'll update Wesdnesdays. It seems the easiest day for me, schedule wise. Plus, who doesn't need a little inspiration mid-week? This way, you get a bit of time to think about it before the weekend arrives!

Well, kids, I'm sure you noticed my ... inactivity. =musachan (that'd be moi) recently started a new job and I've been trying to get up to speed with it. But I am now, so it's back on track! The first challenge has been extended to September 21, 2007, which is also the premiere date of Book 3: Fire So get your TiVos set! This is gonna be fun!

Also be sure to start watching the LJ Artbenders community to keep up to date with new contests and episodes! There may even be mini-challenges held there in the future.

Also, a call to arms! If you have any ideas for future challenges, let me know by dropping a note to *Artbenders!

Though I've been doing this for a few days now, the members list has been updated with all you new Novice Rank Artbenders! If you don't see your name on the list, just send a note and it will be fixed in a timely manner

Well, today's the day! *Artbenders is officially open for bidness. Look around, get a feel for the place and see if you'd like to participate! Don't forget to read the rules and if you have any questions stop by and read over the FAQ before you send a note with any questions you may have.

Our first weekly challenge will be issued next Friday! So sharpen your pencils, ready your erasers and start contemplating ideas, kiddles!

[What is Artbenders]

*Artbenders is an Avatar: The Last Airbender themed art jam here at DeviantART. Every week, a theme will be assigned and it will be your job as Artbenders to create something in response! There's no prizes, no pressure -- it's just for fun.

Themes will range from a word, an idea, a concept to even music and lyrics! You can do anything you want. The only requirement for your creations are that they be ATLA themed, and be in by the deadline. That's it!
